This drabble was written for the 100 Words/Camping
comment_fic prompt: Stargate Multiverse, any SG team, camping on Earth.
"Rodney, I have not had anything at all. How can I have some more of nothing?"
Teyla folded her arms across her chest, her patience running short with Doctor McKay.
"Sheppard told you to say that, didn't he?" Rodney’s arms fell at his sides in defeat.
“The Sandlot is a fine movie, I’ll have you know.” Sheppard appeared behind Rodney, taking one of the metal sticks and the bag of puffy white squares away from him. “Teyla, Ronon, come witness the fine art of making a s’more.”
Teyla still didn’t comprehend the name, but once she bit into the sandwich made from sweetened crackers, melted chocolate, and toasted marshmallow, she understood what all the fuss was about.
“And this is a common food to eat while camping on Earth?” Teyla asked, her fingers now sticky.
“This,” Rodney began, cracker crumbs spewing forth, “This is the only food you eat while camping.”
Ronon swallowed what was probably his fourth or fifth s’more of the evening. “This is it? No meat? No foraging?”
John squished a golden marshmallow on top of another s’more and handed it to Rodney, his smile fond. “No need, Ronon. I think we brought some hot dogs too.”
